Our privacy and security policy as set out below shall govern the way in which we process any personal information that you provide to us, our commitment to you is that it will be continuously assessed against new technologies, business practices and standards being enacted by other internet-based companies. If we change the way at any time in which we process your personal information we will notify you of such change.

You are able to access our home page and browse our site without having to disclose any of your personal data, save information collected by cookies that we use (see below).

This policy defines how we collect and use information that is collected on the web site where this policy appears. This policy does not extend to other online or offline sites, products, or services. Please ensure that you read this policy in its entirety. Workplace Health and Safety, on behalf of itself, and its affiliates is committed to upholding the highest security and privacy standards in relation to the provision of our online service whilst maintaining the highest level of integrity in dealings with our clientele and that of our potential clientele.

Collection and use of information

When you register via the user licence agreement to access our service using the web site, or request technical support in respect to our services, or request information about our services, we collect applicable information from you.

Information which we collect typically includes your name, address, mailing address, email address, telephone number/s, and any other details you provide to us which concern you as an individual, and, where applicable, user names and passwords associated with our online service, and payment information for use of the service.

You may provide to us, at your option or where requested other personal information from various locations within the use and operation of the service.

We use the information you submit to us to provide you with the service you request, fulfilling orders placed by you which may include access to our online WHSMS service, processing any other transactions authorised or made by you with us, technical support, information about our service, or other communications such as informing you of special offers and providing other marketing information to you which we think you may find of interest and undertaking product or customer research/development.

If you access our online WHSMS service through an employer-sponsored user licence agreement, all information gathered through the online WHSMS service, may be revealed to your employer. This policy does not apply to the use of your personal information by your employer. We also collect certain information about your computer hardware and software, and your activity on our service.

This information may include: your IP address, browser type, operating system, domain name, access times and referring web site addresses. This information is used for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of our service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the web site.


We may send a small file known as a cookie to your computer when you visit our website, this is for load balancing requests between web servers, as session identifiers, and to facilitate automatic login.

Communications from us

Participants using our online WHSMS service may receive event-triggered messages to facilitate use of the service, including, but not limited to, password reminders, registration confirmations and course start reminders.

WHSMS Administrators are provided access to various administrative functions used to manage a user group. We communicate regularly with WHSMS Administrators regarding service availability, service changes, user group events, and availability of new learning tasks products.

WHSMS Administrators may receive periodic newsletters describing best practices; industry news and various other topics we believe may be of interest to WHSMS Administrators. WHSMS Administrators use their own discretion as to whether or not to forward this information to participants who are assigned to a user group.

We periodically communicate to users regarding service availability, service changes, and the availability of new products and services. Users may receive periodic newsletters describing new offerings and various other topics we believe may be of interest.

Users can opt-out of receiving e-mail promotions and information by editing their personal information. Individuals who subscribe to e-mail newsletters are always offered the ability to opt-out of these services.

Data transfers

Information we collect may be stored and/or processed in any country where we or our affiliates, subsidiaries, or agents maintain facilities. By using the web site, you consent to the transfer of information outside of your country.

Changing Your personal information

We strive to keep your personal information, which you provide, to us accurate and up-to-date. Should you find inaccuracies in your personal information, please update your information using the available account maintenance functions on our service. All other account changes should be submitted in writing to Customer Service via our "Contact Us" function on the site.

Message boards

We facilitate threaded message board discussions. Any information disclosed in these areas may be observed by other participants and is not private or secure.

Our online WHSMS service, links to external websites, including those of our affiliates and third party partners. We recommend that you review the privacy policy of any external website that you may enter from the web site.
